Can I switch from therapy to life coaching services or from life coaching services to therapy?

This is possible, however your needs will first be assessed to ensure that the other service is appropriate for you before doing so. If your therapy needs are outside the therapist’s scope of practice, you will be referred to a therapist outside of I-Thrive Therapy and Wellness.

At this time, you can only receive one of these services at a time. However, please note that if you are receiving one of these services outside of I-Thrive Therapy and Wellness, you can receive the other service with us. For example, if you receive therapy already with your own outpatient therapist, you can receive life coaching services with us.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is that you please provide 24 hours notice if you are unable to make a session and need to cancel or reschedule. By providing 24 hours, you will avoid the late cancellation flat rate fee. Please note that we understand that emergencies happen. If this is the case please be sure to communicate with your therapist and/or admin and the late cancellation fee may be waived. This is on a case by case basis.

What if I completely miss my session if I do not show up?

If you miss your session, this is considered a no-show and there is a flat rate no-show fee. Please note that we understand emergencies happen. If this is the case we strongly encourage that (as soon as you can) you communicate this with your therapist and/or admin and the no-show fee may be waived. This is on a case by case basis. Additionally, if there is a pattern of no-shows and repeated cancellations, we reserve the right to discharge you from services.

What is CBT?

CBT is short for cognitive behavioral therapy, a type of treatment that has been shown to effectively improve symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marital or relationship/friendship issues, eating disorders and other severe mental illnesses.

This is done by targeting unhelpful, toxic ways of thinking, learning the connection these ways of thinking have to our behaviors; actions, decisions and what motivates you. You will learn to change those ways of thinking and problem solve effectively, in an effort to relax your mind and feel better about yourself, the body you live in and the world around you.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a distinct discipline that encourages self discovery and change through self-expression. It incorporates creative measures such as visual art media, drawing, creating, painting etc. Art therapy is a great way to grow and meet your personal mental and emotional wellness goals without the focus being on verbal articulation alone.

What is Logo Therapy?

Logotherapy is a type of therapeutic approach that focuses on helping the person find meaning in their life. It focuses little on the past and mostly on the future and your purpose. It takes a different approach to the idea of suffering and accomplishment - withstanding adversity and learning how to take care of yourself while doing so, is your main goal.
